The Oak Tree Site represents four (4) parcel (56 total acres), located on Baugh Rd adjacent to US 70 and one mile from Exit 97 on Interstate 95 in Smithfield-Selma, North Carolina. The Town of Selma/Electricities provides electrical service from their existing electrical transmission lines and associated substations at the site. Natural gas service is also located at the site and will be provided by Piedmont Natural Gas. The site is adjacent to SYSCO Foods and SONA. Because of the close proximity to the Research Triangle, Johnston County supports numerous pharmaceutical and life science companies such as Grifols, Novo Nordisk, Bayer Crops Science, and others. The Oak Tree Site offers a central location mid-point on Interstate 95. Interstate 40 and US Hwy 70 are major east/west road arteries that facilitate goods, services, and labor resources to these locations. This existing and expanded highway network enables all sites to easily access the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (30 minutes), the Research Triangle Park, and the university system’s graduate pool of engineers and technicians that are the region’s greatest labor resource. The North Carolina State Ports of Wilmington and Morehead City are less than a 2 hour drive from the sites.
