The West Smithfield Industrial Park represents 335 Buildable Acres and more than 6.2 million potential square feet positioned over 405 total acres. The site is adjacent to 4 Lane US70 between Smithfield and Clayton North Carolina and is located less than 5 miles to Interstate 95 at Exit 95. Located only 25 minutes from Downtown Raleigh, this large light industrial zoned property is Certified by the NC Department of Commerce. The Duke Energy provides electrical service from their existing electrical transmission lines and associated substations near the site. Natural gas service is also located at the site and will be provided by Piedmont Natural Gas. Because of the close proximity to the Research Triangle Park, Johnston County supports numerous pharmaceutical and life science companies such as Grifols, Novo Nordisk, Bayer Crops Science and others. The West Smithfield Industrial Park offers a central location mid-point on Interstate 95. Interstate 40 and US Hwy 70 are major east/west road arteries that facilitate goods, services, and labor resources to these locations. This existing and expanded highway network enables all sites to easily access the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (40 minutes), the Research Triangle Park, and the university system’s graduate pool of engineers and technicians that are the region’s greatest labor resource. The North Carolina State Ports of Wilmington and Morehead City are less than a 2-hour drive from the site.
